Featured Folk Artist on WSKG-TV, selected for "Out of the Ordinary: ..a traveling 3-year show, several one-woman-shows, won Best in Show 4 times, taught hundreds of people folk arts for 35 years, appeared on local television shows, TV newscasts, and newspaper. NYS presidential Easter egg representative 2008. Also working in Fine Arts.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I love making Pisanki (Pysanky), Polish (Ukrainian) Egg Decorating, batik (beeswax resist and dyes) to create designs on eggs. Also, please see my Batiks on cloth. Some of my other folk arts include Wycinanki, Polish Paper Cuts, which are made with folded cut paper, symmetrically cut, creating a reflected subject. I recently discovered Teabag folding, a kind of Origami. I have taught these folk art forms most of my life and have exhibited throughout the Northeast of the United States, winning numerous awards. I've also taught classes in Poland and Slovakia.
